A trade session is when you and a friend put your two collections together, face to face, and let Onzi cross-check what each of you has. In seconds it surfaces the perfect matches: you hand over a duplicate they're missing and pick up one you still need. A fair swap, nobody walking away short.

It all happens right there on your phones, with no internet, no account, and no sign-up. Both collections stay on your two devices and nowhere else.

The deal is simple: one person shows a QR Code, the other scans it. Who shows and who scans makes no difference — the result is exactly the same.

Before you start trading

A two-minute prep saves you from the awkward "hang on, let me update this" mid-trade:

• Both of you with Onzi installed and open, side by side.
• Collection up to date: mark what you've stuck in and what's a duplicate before you open the session.
• Camera permission allowed on whichever phone is going to scan.
• No Wi-Fi or mobile data needed — the session runs offline start to finish.

Showing your QR Code

If you're the one displaying the code, open the trade area in the app and choose to show your QR Code. It's the quickest route when your friend already has their camera ready.

• Open the trade area in Onzi.
• Tap to generate and display your QR Code.
• Turn the screen toward your friend so their camera can reach the code.
• Hold steady until they confirm the read — the session opens on both phones.

Scanning a friend's QR Code

If you're the one reading the code, it's the same trade area, you just choose to scan instead of show.

• Open the trade area and choose to scan a friend's QR Code.
• Point your camera at the code they're holding up.
• Keep the code well framed and well lit until it's recognized.
• The moment it reads, the session opens and Onzi cross-checks both collections.

Once the session is open

With the session open, the app compares both collections and highlights the sure-thing trades: the duplicates you've got that your friend needs, and the ones they've got that finish off your album.

From there it's business as usual: agree on the stickers and swap them by hand, the old-fashioned way. Onzi just makes the worthwhile trades obvious, no flipping through every sticker to compare.
